The 2024 Research Report on China's Talent-friendly Cities, complied by the China Association of Human Resource Development and several authoritative institutions, was officially released on September 26. Changsha City was selected as a talent-friendly city in 2024, according to the report. As one of the representative cities, Changsha was promoted at a press conference.
According to the report, Changsha excelled in fostering a favorable talent development ecosystem, with the talent development ecology index ranking among the national top ten.

The report, initiated by the China Association of Human Resource Development, highlighted attraction and development ecology for urban talents. In particular, the talent attraction index included six indicators: talent cohesion, talent transfer, talent net inflow, talent concentration, talent retention, and local employment. The talent development ecology index was evaluated based on four indicators: friendliness of public services, friendliness of quality of life, friendliness of career development, and friendliness of industrial innovation.
