Vice Governor Zhang Meets Pakistani Ambassador to China

Zhang Yingchun, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and executive vice governor of Hunan Province, met in Changsha with Khalil Hashmi, Pakistani ambassador to China, on August 30, 2024. 

Vice Governor Zhang welcomed Ambassador Khalil Hashmi and his entourage. Hunan and Pakistan have a solid foundation for cooperation, she mentioned. Hunan enterprises have engaged in trade and project collaborations with their Pakistani partners in such aspects as advanced manufacturing and agriculture, yielding fruitful results. She expected more economic and trade exchanges and cooperation between the two sides, which would inject new vitality into broader and deeper bilateral cooperation.


Ambassador Khalil Hashmi said that Pakistan and China are all-weather strategic cooperative partners. Pakistan and Hunan share broad space for cooperation in various fields such as agriculture, infrastructure, and energy. He welcomed more Hunan enterprises to invest in Pakistan, opening a new chapter for economic and trade exchanges and cooperation between Hunan and Pakistan.

Some Hunan and Pakistan businesses reached agreements on cooperative projects during the meeting.
