Five Hunan Cuisines and Four Travel Routes Included in China's "24 Solar Terms (Autumn) Tourist Cuisines and Routes"

"China's 24 Solar Terms (Autumn) Tourist Cuisines and Routes" were announced recently, including 305 tourism cuisines in solar terms in autumn and 72 culinary travel routes. Five cuisines and four routes in Hunan Province were shortlisted.


The five tourism cuisines were Yiyang Leicha or ground tea, Yongzhou blood duck, fried Jiuyi Mountain rabbit with wine, Jiuyi fried blood duck, and Qiyang camellia oil. The four culinary travel routes included a tour of hairy crab cuisine in Yueyang, a tour to savor delicacies in Chenzhou, a tour to experience the cuisine of the Yao people in Yongzhou, and a tour to enjoy local food in Loudi.


Yiyang Leicha


Yiyang Leicha is known for its unique recipe, which combines a variety of ingredients such as fresh tea leaves, crispy peanuts, sweet sesame seeds, and brown rice to create rich layers of flavor. Making the ground tea requires rhythm and strength, as well as skill and experience. Leicha is not only a delicacy in Yiyang, but also bears regional culture and traditions, presenting a unique way of life. When enjoying Leicha, people can feel the charm of the local food, and deepen their understanding of the history and culture of Yiyang and experience local customs.


Dongjiang Lake Scenic Area


The three-day tour to savor delicacies in Chenzhou offers the chance to:
-- visit Chenzhou's Wayaoping Historical and Cultural Village, the Feitian Mountain Scenic Area, the Gaoyiling Scenic Area, Zixing's Dongjiang Lake Scenic Area, Yangtianhu Grand Grassland, and Anren County's paddy field park;
-- try local food such as Shaojigong or braised chicken, Qifengdu fish rice noodles, Dongjiang fish, Anren stewed pig's feet with herbs, and Anren ground chili pepper;
-- experience the Ganfenshe folk ritual in Anren County.
