A media briefing on the 2024 Hunan (Autumn) Rural Cultural Tourism Festival and the 2024 Hunan (Autumn) Village Gala Demonstration Showcase was held in Changsha recently. It announced that the festival will take place on September 6 and 7 at the Southern China Grape Valley Scenic Area in Tongmu Town, Zhongfang County, Huaihua City.
The festival will highlight thematic brands and the innovative development of the cultural tourism industry, with the aim of constantly enhancing the popularity of farming culture—a calling card of Huaihua, and exploring a way to effectively promote the "agriculture + culture + tourism" model. A series of activities will be arranged in the form of "1+7", including one major event and seven serial events. The major event refers to the opening ceremony which is scheduled to be held at the Southern China Grape Valley Scenic Area on the evening of September 6. The demonstration showcase following the opening ceremony will focus on rural affairs and the interesting aspects of rural life.
Additionally, the seven serial events include a media briefing; rural art performances; a music reception; a symposium on cultural relics protection, inheritance, and utilization, and cultural tourism integrated development of Zhongfang County; travel routes observation; and, Zhongfang Village chef competition.
The festival is hosted by the Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and the People's Government of Huaihua City, and organized by the Huaihua Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Radio, and Sports and the People's Government of Zhongfang County.
