The 2024 list of China's top 500 industrial internet enterprises was announced recently. Thirty Hunan firms made the list, including CEC Industrial Internet.

The ranking was jointly produced by the China Internet Weekly supervised by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, eNet Institute, and DBC. Entries were selected based on metrics including comprehensive technologies, influence, and user feedback, highlighting strong innovation and huge market potential in related niche markets.

The thirty selected enterprises mainly engage in industries such as big data, equipment manufacturing, raw material, and steel. The enterprises are classified into three categories of industrial internet platforms—integrated, professional, and characteristic, covering a full process of R&D, production, operation, management, sales, and service. This effectively helps enterprises improve quality, reduce costs, increase efficiency. For instance, the Lens Technology Group independently developed automation equipment, constructed an intelligent manufacturing industrial system, and integrated manufacturing with industrial internet, big data, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and other new technologies, so as to improve production efficiency and product quality and reduce production and management costs. 

In recent years, Hunan has accelerated the deep integration of industrial internet and manufacturing. Its industrial internet has entered a stage of fast development with leading scenarios, breakthroughs, and scaled application. So far, Hunan boasts more than 300 industrial internet platforms, with major platforms connecting with more than 11 million pieces (sets) of industrial equipment and over 30,000 TB of data. More than 60,000 industrial apps have been developed, along with over 39,000 industrial mechanism models.
