The 2024 Zhangjiajie Marathon will kick off on November 3. The number of registered participants will increase to 12,000. Applicants can scan the QR code at the end of this article to sign up.

Three events will be organized—a full marathon (42.195 km), a half marathon (21.0975 km), and a fun run (about 5 km), to satisfy demands of the participants in different age groups and at different running levels.

Beyond being just a physical competition, the 2024 Zhangjiajie Marathon will provide a perfect opportunity for the participants to immersively appreciate Zhangjiajie's stunning landscapes. All registered participants will have free access to the Wulingyuan Scenic Area (Zhangjiajie National Forest Park) by presenting their marathon number cloth along with the marathon wristbands. 

The racing track will pass a number of iconic scenic spots in Zhangjiajie, including the Helong Gymnasium, Dayong Ancient Town, 72 Unusual Houses, Wuling Mountain Avenue, and entrance of the Wulingyuan Scenic Area. Runners will enjoy running while appreciating the natural landscapes and unique charm of picturesque Zhangjiajie.

The 2024 Zhangjiajie Marathon is hosted by the Hunan Sports Bureau and the Zhangjiajie Municipal People's Government. Applicants can sign up on such platforms at the WeChat official account of the Hunan Athletics Association, ASTHETICS App, zuicool website, and Zhangjiajie Smart Tourism WeChat mini program.
