Recently, the General Office of the Ministry of Transport, the General Department of the National Railway Administration, the General Department of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, the Office of the State Post Bureau, and the General Office of the China State Railway Group Co., Ltd. jointly issued a notice on the issuance of typical cases of passenger intermodal transport service brands. An air-rail intermodal transport service brand developed by the Changsha Huanghua International Airport was included, making it the only case in Hunan Province that has won this honor.

Since 2021, the Changsha Huanghua International Airport has cooperated with the Changsha South Railway Station, the Changsha maglev company, and a number of airlines to explore air-rail intermodal transport integration. The 1.0 version of the "aviation + maglev + high-speed rail" air-rail combined transport has been launched, providing integrated services in ticketing, station hall affairs, baggage, and air travel. The move makes it easier for passengers to deal with multi-platform ticket purchase, route planning, baggage delivery and other issues.
