The CCID Consulting recently announced the 2024 list of China's top 100 industrial parks and zones for high-quality development. Hunan's Changsha High-tech Industrial Development Zone, Changsha Economic and Technological Development Zone, and Zhuzhou High-tech Industrial Development Zone made the list, ranking 19th, 35th, and 46th, respectively. The Changsha High-tech Industrial Development Zone moved from 20th last year to 19th and Zhuzhou High-tech Industrial Development Zone climbed from 48th last year to 46th. The ranking of Changsha Economic and Technological Development Zone has remained the same.

Among the top 100 industrial parks and zones, the number of those each with an output value of over 100 billion CNY increased by 5 to 59. Hunan's three shortlisted ones each had a GPD of more than 100 billion CNY in 2023, providing strong support for local economic development.

The three development zones all have characteristic industries that fuel economic growth.

Supported by its leading enterprises, the Changsha High-tech Industrial Development Zone has actively introduced industrial chain enterprises to foster a number of characteristic industries such as construction machinery, next generation information technology, biological medicine, advanced energy storage, and new energy vehicles.

The Changsha Economic and Technological Development Zone has accelerated the deep integration of the digital economy and the real economy and taken the lead nationwide in launching intelligent manufacturing projects based on an open competition mechanism, giving birth to a number of new technologies, including artificial intelligence and industrial internet.

The Zhuzhou High-tech Industrial Development Zone has focused on the development of featured industrial parks, fostering Tianyuan industrial software park, a new energy vehicles and key components industrial park, and a hard alloy industrial park.
