As summer comes, the summer resort economy has continued to heat up in Shuangpai County, Yongzhou City. Tourists from across the country take in beautiful waters and mountains here to beat the scorching summer heat.
Shuangpai County is richly endowed with unique tourism resources. It is among the first batch of China's summer resorts and the first of its kind in Hunan Province. The county is home to the Yangming Mountain National Forest Park and an ancient building complex under state protection. Yangming Mountain is a national 4A-level tourist attraction, with a forest coverage rate of 98%. Its negative oxygen ion reaches 38,000 per cubic meter on average. The scenic area is known as a natural oxygen bar and a cool isle by Hunan and Guangdong residents. There are many murmuring streams and waterfalls, providing coolness in summer.
In recent years, the county has tapped the huge potential of the summer resort market, focusing on providing tourists with a rich and colorful travel experience. The local authority has actively developed boutique homestays, improving accommodation conditions, rural infrastructure, and service quality. Efforts have been made to explore characteristic cultural resources and develop more cultural and creative products. New scenarios and formats of cultural tourism have been launched, including music competitions, outdoor camping, nature exploration, and cultural exchanges, in the hope of transforming unique resources into industrial strengths and new edges for development.
Currently, cool and pleasant natural environment, beautiful rural scenery, and diversified new forms of tourism culture have attracted a large number of tourists from inside and outside the province.
