As a famous cultural city with a long history spanning thousands of years, Changsha is home to an abundant and diverse pool of intangible cultural heritages. The Taiping Old Street in Changsha has recently added a new landmark--the Authentic Changsha Folk Crafts Exhibition Hall. The exhibition hall offers an enjoyable one-stop experience to visitors, allowing them to taste China-chic pastries, appreciate cultural and creative products, and savor the traditional culture.
Under the guidance of the Culture, Tourism and Sports Bureau of Tianxin District, the exhibition hall was jointly built by the Dim Sum Bureau of Momo and the Changsha New Consumption Research Institute. Integrating folk crafts, cultural and creative products, and China-chic pastries, the exhibition hall creates application scenarios to bring traditional handicrafts back to life.
The exhibition hall is transformed from a two-storey Western-style ancient building at the former site of a foreign firm on Taiping Old Street.
Nearly 600 intangible cultural heritage works from Changsha and other parts of the country are on display.
