The International Volunteer Service Forum, a sub-forum of the Seventh China-Africa People's Forum and the Seventh China-Africa Young Leaders Forum, was held in Changsha on July 25, 2024.
A "Silk Road People-to-People Connectivity" special international volunteer service program was launched, which was jointly initiated by the China Association for NGO Cooperation (CANGO) and the China Volunteer Service Federation (CVSF).
The program aims to integrate the resources of various parties, jointly promoting international volunteer service development, contributing to the high-quality implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative, and boosting the building of a community with a shared future for humanity.
Since the Belt and Road Initiative was put forward, various volunteer service organizations have actively mobilized the volunteers to participate in international volunteer services such as humanitarian relief, poverty eradication, environmental protection, and world competition events. The Chinese volunteers vigorously promote cultural exchanges and integration, and mutual learning and appreciation, playing a significant role as "boosters" in showcasing Chinese splendor, telling China's stories, and conveying Chinese culture to the world.
