Governor Mao noted that Hunan is thoroughly implementing the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC). He also emphasized the importance of deepening exchanges and communication in economy and trade, science and technology, culture, education, tourism, sports, and other fields, aiming for mutual benefits and win-win development.

Ambassador Ambrosetti said that Italy and Hunan have strong economic complementarity, which lays a good foundation for cooperation and broad prospects for development. He hoped that the two sides will deepen cooperation in such fields as economy and trade, science and technology, and agriculture; expand cultural exchanges and mutual learning; and, facilitate Italian investment and startups in Hunan, jointly writing a new chapter of Italy-China cooperation.
