The north extension line (including an electric power tunnel) of Changsha Wanjiali Road upgrading project opened to traffic on July 18. The 4.77-km line starts from the north of Fuyuan Road in the south, connects with the existing Wanjiali Road Overpass, and ends at the north of Panlong Road in the north. The line encompasses a 4.2-km overpass, 6 parallel ramps, and 7 interconnecting ramps. The main line has a design speed of 80 km/h while the ramps 40 km/h. The opening of the line will effectively alleviate north-south traffic congestion in the east of Changsha, shorten driving time between Changsha County and the downtown area, and facilitate Changsha's economic development as well as residents' travel.
