The German Small & Medium Enterprises Cluster Zone (Hunan) was inaugurated at the Zurbrüggen Headquarters in Hunan Xiangjiang New Area. During the event, eight projects aimed at deepening economic and trade cooperation between Hunan and Germany were signed on the spot.
The German Small & Medium Enterprises Cluster Zone (Hunan) is an important epitome of promoting the development of China-Europe international cooperation demonstration zone. It will focus on the characteristics of small and medium-sized enterprises agglomeration, high-end collaboration fields, and complete supporting facilities, to establish a pioneering and demonstration zone of the China-EU (Changsha) international cooperation parks and zones, providing samples and models for the building of international cooperation parks and zones for Changsha City and other regions of Hunan Province.
Germany's advantages in technology, management, and experience in the field of manufacturing have a high degree of compatibility with Changsha's development strategy of building an advanced manufacturing hub and a global research and development center. To date, Germany has invested in and set up 28 foreign-funded enterprises in Changsha. Notably, German manufacturing giants like BASF, Bosch, and Continental have invested over 100 million USD, significantly deepening their presence in the Changsha market.
The eight projects signed on site include the Sino-European Procurement Platform, Steinbeis Technology Transfer Center, Skanify Sci-Tech of Germany, and Xiaofeng Automobile Vehicle-Road Collaboration R&D Headquarters. These projects will further deepen the economic and trade, and sci-tech cooperation between Hunan, especially Hunan Xiangjiang New Area, and Germany, facilitating the investment and matchmaking of German SMEs in China.
