On July 9, a China-Europe freight train loaded with household appliances, daily necessities, automobiles, and spare parts departed from the Changsha International Railway Port, under the supervision of the Xingsha Customs Authority. The train will exit China through the Manzhouli Port, and is scheduled to arrive in St. Petersburg, Russia in 15 days.
From January to June this year, a total of 604 China-Europe freight trains departed from and arrived in Changsha, a year-on-year increase of 40.5%.

As an important trade channel connecting Hunan and the countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative, the China-Europe (Changsha) freight train service has been in operation for 10 years. Currently, there are 14 regular routes, with trains running between nearly 30 countries and regions in Eurasia. Changsha handled more than 1,000 China-Europe freight trains in 2023, standing at the national forefront for five consecutive years.

The customs authority actively supports deep integration of China-Europe freight trains with local advanced manufacturing enterprises in Hunan, and has served the opening of special trains for exporting construction machinery, automobiles, and other goods. The trains, with lower transport costs and higher efficiency, have become an option for more and more enterprises to transport goods overseas.

This year, the Hunan Sinoboom Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd. has repeatedly exported construction machinery to the European market via the China-Europe (Changsha) freight train service. Not long ago, the company shipped 600 sets of self-developed aerial work platforms to Europe.

To ensure the high-quality development of China-Europe freight trains, the Xingsha Customs Authority has regularly organized a campaign titled "Customs Chief Publicizing Policies to the Doorstep of Enterprises" and implemented a 24-hour customs clearance mechanism. Additionally, the authority has guided enterprises in declaring exported goods through the modes of "advance declaration" and "rapid customs clearance for entry and exit by rail", thus greatly reducing customs clearance time.
