Changsha to Open Four New Air Routes to Thailand, Vietnam

Changsha airport will launch four new international air routes, respectively bound for Phuket of Thailand, Hanoi and Nha Trang of Vietnam, and Cheju of South Korea, to facilitate summer vacation trips, announced by the Hunan Airport Group on July 4.

The first Changsha-Phuket flight of Okey Airways (Okair) was launched on July 4. According to the flight schedule, the Changsha-Phuket flights will be operated every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Flight BK2983 will take off from Changsha at 11:50 (all times listed are local), and land in Phuket at 15:00; and, the return flight BK1984 will set off from Phuket at 16:00 and arrive in Changsha at 21:10.

Qingdao Airlines will launch Changsha-Hanoi flights between July 8 and September 2.

The Changsha-Cheju flights of Okair and the Changsha-Nha Trang flights of Vietjet Air will begin operation on July 12.

Statistics shows that, in the first half of this year, Hunan's Changsha and Zhangjiajie ports have handled 682,000 international and domestic trips, increasing by 275.5% year on year. Changsha has opened air routes to 12 international cities including Nairobi of Kenya, London of the UK, Seoul of South Korea, Bangkok of Thailand, and Singapore; and, Zhangjiajie has air routes to 10 international destinations including Seoul, Busan and Cheongju of South Korea, Bangkok of Thailand, and Hanoi of Vietnam.
