A total of 77 A-level tourist attractions across Changsha City will cancel real-name reservations starting from July 6, 2024, according to an announcement from the Changsha Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Radio, and Television.

This new measure aims to enhance tourists' travel experience and offer them easier access to scenic areas as the summer tourism peak approaches.

The announcement also says that five scenic spots in Changsha will still require real-name reservations. They are: Yuelu Mountain · Orange Isle Tourist Area (including Yuelu Mountain, Orange Isle, Yuelu Academy, the Former Site of Xinmin Institute), Ningxiang Huaminglou Scenic Area, Hunan Museum, Hunan Science and Technology Museum, and Hunan Botanical Garden. The remaining 77 A-level tourist attractions across the city will eliminate real-name reservation requirements from July 6, 2024.

Data from the platforms showed that orders for travel to Changsha during the summer vacation increased by 5% year on year. The adjustment of the reservation method will facilitate tourists' travel. Some tourists said, "No need to make an appointment means that you can come and go as you please!"

According to the announcement, the 77 A-level tourist attractions will set a limit on the number of tourists, which allows tourists to purchase tickets on site or online through OTA platforms as long as the number of tourists does not exceed the maximum capacity. The specific policies will also be dynamically adjusted according to the actual situation of scenic areas, especially during major holidays. Before visiting, tourists should pay attention to the latest announcements made by these scenic areas via their official WeChat accounts, as well as the latest instructions on how to visit.
