A study tour group from Hong Kong arrived at the Huanglong Cave Scenic Spot in Zhangjiajie on the afternoon of June 24, 2024. This event was the second in a series of Chinese cultural and historical explorations. The group consisted of 31 students and their parents from the United Kingdom, New Zealand, Hong Kong, and other places. They participated in study and practice activities themed on popularization of geological sciences and experience of intangible cultural heritage.

Inside Huanglong Cave, students and parents were attracted by the mysterious, deep, and serene cave environment and the unusual stalactite landscape, marveling at nature's ingenuity. They learned about the scientific principles behind the cave's formation from a tutor at the scenic area.

In the Huanglong Cave Ecological Square, Chinese and foreign students and parents identified a variety of crops, plants, and insects together, coming into close contact with nature.

At the Huanglong Cave Intangible Cultural Heritage Workshop, children tried their hand at the ancient tie-dying skill under the guidance of craftsmen, feeling the charm of local traditional culture.

This cross-border and cross-cultural study tour was co-organized by the Hong Kong Promise Charity Foundation and the Hong Kong Feifan Culture and Education Co., Ltd. It aimed to meet the participants' needs for comprehensive understanding of China and Zhangjiajie, to broaden their horizons, increase knowledge, promote exchanges, and foster friendship among people.

The study tour started on June 23 and will last for seven days in Zhangjiajie. After exploring the Huanglong Cave Scenic Spot, the participants will visit other attractions such as the Zhangjiajie Forest Park, Zhangjiajie Geological Museum, Tianzi Mountain, and Yuanjiajie Scenic Area.
