The Changsha Institute of Technology announced its 2024 enrollment plan for the first time on June 19. The school plans to recruit 2,500 students in Hunan this year, covering 11 majors that align with the 17 industrial chains in Changsha. This will help boost the city's industrial development and facilitate the employment of young talents.

Situated in Wangcheng District, Changsha, the institute is an application-oriented public undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education. Its precursor is the Shuda College of Hunan Normal University. The institute is jointly administered by the Hunan Provincial People's Government and the Changsha Municipal People's Government, with the municipal government as the main administrator. The institute's educational business is under the centralized management of the Hunan Provincial Department of Education.
