Governor Mao Inspects Hunan Airport Management Group

On the morning of June 19, Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of Hunan Province, inspected the Hunan Airport Management Group. Mao stressed the need to thoroughly implement the spirit of President Xi Jinping's important speeches and instructions made during his inspection tours in Hunan. He called for the use of newer concepts to promote the high-quality development of Hunan's civil aviation sector in the new era, empowering Hunan's integration into the "dual circulation" development pattern and facilitating people's travel. 


On the morning of June 19, Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of Hunan Province, inspected the Changsha Huanghua International Airport Operation Control Command Center. 


Li Jianzhong, vice governor of Hunan Province, and Qu Hai, secretary general of the Hunan Provincial People's Government, attended.


Changsha Huanghua International Airport Operation Control Command Center serves as the "brain" for airport operation. Through refined management and intelligent operation, it successfully ensured 200,800 flight takeoffs and landings and handled 27.248 million passenger trips last year, an increase of 78% and 118% year on year respectively. Mao urged continued efforts to strengthen technological and management innovation to make people's travel more convenient and efficient.


Mao Weiming inspected the Terminal 3 at the Changsha Huanghua International Airport. 


The Changsha Huanghua International Airport Reconstruction and Expansion Project is an infrastructure project with the largest single investment in Hunan, which is expected to be completed and put into use in 2026. At present, a total of 21.84 billion yuan has been invested in the project, accounting for about 50.8% of its total investment. Mao Weiming walked into the construction site and inspected the progress of the transfer hall of the comprehensive transport hub and the F hall of the Terminal 3. Mao emphasized the need to uphold the concept of putting quality and safety first, make every effort to promote project construction, strengthen the guarantee of resource factors, and deliver more tangible benefits. Mao also stressed the need to take the project construction as an important opportunity, make better use of policies of implementing major national strategies and building up security capacity in key areas, and enhance the capacities of Changsha Huanghua International Airport as a transport hub and the driving force of airport economic development.
