The service hours of Changsha's entire metro network will be extended for one hour from June 7 to 10 to ensure a better travel experience for residents during the upcoming Duanwu Festival holiday. In addition, extra trains will be operated and train intervals will be shortened before and during the holiday.
This year's national college entrance examination, or gaokao, lasts from June 7 to 9. During the period, the metro staff will actively manage the passenger flow based on real-time passenger numbers at stations near the exam sites. Meanwhile, all the 156 metro stations in Changsha will open a green channel for gaokao examinees, allowing them and their accompanying parents (up to 2 people) to ride the subway for free by presenting their exam admission tickets.
Furthermore, the metro stations will also give priority to gaokao examinees when delivering services concerning security checks and handling other matters.
