The 2024 Huaihua Traditional Dragon Boat Race is scheduled to be held at Daoyuan Square, Anjiang Town, Hongjiang City on June 6, according to the Huaihua Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Radio, and Sports.

From June 6 to June 23, Hongjiang, Mayang, Zhongfang, Xupu, Chenxi, and Yuanling will hold traditional dragon boat races at Anjiang Town, Gaocun Town, Tongwan Town, Dajiangkou Town, Huangxikou Town, Tanwan Town, Dragon Boat Square respectively. Supporting events include culinary culture experiences and promotions, an intangible culture heritage bazaar, and folk culture performances, enabling tourists and residents to experience the dragon boat culture of Huaihua City.

Nearly 500 dragon boat teams will participate in the 18-day celebrations. The 2024 Huaihua Traditional Dragon Boat Parade, a closing ceremony, and an award ceremony will take place in Yuanling County on June 23.
