The First Consultative Conference on Building a Pioneering Zone for In-depth China-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation was held in Changsha on the morning of May 22, 2024. The meeting studied and deployed the work of promoting pioneering zone construction, contributing more to building a high-level China-Africa community with a shared future.
Wang Wentao, secretary of the CPC Leadership Group and minister of the Ministry of Commerce, and Shen Xiaoming, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, attended and delivered speeches. Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of Hunan Province, presided over the meeting. Li Dianxun, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, was present.
The Ministry of Commerce and the People's Government of Hunan Province signed a ministerial-provincial cooperation agreement at the meeting.

According to the agreement, the two sides will deepen collaboration in building a pioneering zone for in-depth China-Africa economic and trade cooperation; constructing the China (Hunan) Pilot Free Trade Zone with high standards; integrating effectively into the "Belt and Road" Initiative; and, expanding consumption and improving circulation system, to jointly push forward the high-quality development of the business endeavors.
