On the morning of May 15, Shen Xiaoming, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, and Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of Hunan Province, met with Zhang Zhigang, secretary of the CPC Leadership Group and chairman of the board of State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC), and his entourage in Changsha.

On May 15, Secretary Shen and Governor Mao had a discussion with SGCC Chairman Zhang in Changsha.

Secretary Shen, on behalf of the provincial Party committee and the provincial government, welcomed the guests and thanked SGCC for its long-term care and support for Hunan in power grid construction, power supply, and public services for the convenience of residents. He expected SGCC to continue increasing its investment in Hunan, strengthening power infrastructure construction, and assisting Hunan in achieving the beautiful blueprint of "Three Hubs and Four New Missions" Strategy depicted by General Secretary Xi Jinping.

Chairman Zhang thanked Hunan for its strong support to SGCC. He said the company will study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speeches and instructions on energy work; carry forward the central government's decisions and deployment; enhance the power supply service guarantee; promote the green transformation of energy; cultivate and develop the new quality productive forces; and, speed up the building of new types of electric power and energy systems, to better meet the needs of high-quality economic and social development of Hunan Province.

Governor Mao and Chairman Zhang held a work meeting in the afternoon.
