A conference on optimizing the business environment of Hunan Province was held in Changsha on the morning of May 13, 2024.

Shen Xiaoming, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, attended and delivered a speech. He asked to study and comprehend the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important exposition on optimizing the business environment, fully understanding the great significance of optimizing the business environment. He called for sticking to reform and innovation, working hard, and striving to make the business environment a bright calling card of the province's high-quality development and a "golden bowl" for the benefit of future generations. Hunan will continue to inject a strong impetus to write its own chapter in advancing Chinese modernization, he added.

Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of Hunan Province, attended and gave a speech. Mao Wanchun, chairman of the CPPCC Hunan Provincial Committee, and Li Dianxun, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, were present.

On May 13, the Hunan Provincial Conference on Optimizing the Business Environment was held in Changsha.

The meeting was held via a video link, with sub-venues set up in multiple locations including cities, prefecture, counties, county-level cities, and urban districts.  Provincial leaders Wang Shuangquan, Sui Zhongcheng, Xie Weijiang, Wei Jianfeng, Zhang Yingchun, Qin Guowen, Wu Lan, Wang Yi'ou, Jiang Difei, Cao Zhiqiang, Zhang Jian, Guo Zhenggui, Zhu Yu, and Ye Xiaoying attended. The meeting announced the results of the evaluation of the province's business environment in 2023. Persons in charge of relevant departments, bureaus, cities, and counties made speeches.
