The 15th Hunan (Yangming Mountain) "Harmony" Cultural Tourism Festival and the 2024 Hunan Summer Travel Season Events kicked off at Yangming Mountain National Forest Park in Shuangpai County on April 23.

Five summer travel routes were announced at the opening ceremony.

A tour to explore wonderful mountains and beautiful waters
Theme: link summer resorts in Yongzhou and Chenzhou, enabling tourists to enjoy picturesque mountains and waters and experience a poetic travel life.

A tour to explore history and culture
Theme: a tour that connects summer resorts in Hengyang, Zhuzhou, and Yongzhou, enabling tourists to visit scenic spots with ecological, historical, and cultural value such as Hengshan Mountain, Shennong Valley, Jiuyi Mountain, Emperor Shun Mountain, and Yunshang Courtyard. 

A night tour to explore charm of Xiangxi
Theme: a tour of scenic spots like Fenghuang Ancient Town, Qianzhou Ancient Town, Furong Town, Bamian Mountain, and Huping Mountain to discover the mystery of Xiangxi.

A tour to explore folk customs
Theme: a tour that connects summer resorts in Huaihua, Loudi, Shaoyang, and Yiyang, enabling tourists to experience folk customs and ethnic culture.

A tour to enjoy water activities to beat summer heat
Theme: a tour that connects summer resorts in Changsha, Yueyang, Zhuzhou, Yiyang, and Changde and highlights water parks and ravine streams.

A series of activities will be held during the 15th Hunan (Yangming Mountain) "Harmony" Cultural Tourism Festival, including:
- Cultural tourism exchange for cross-Strait youth on Yangming Mountain;
- One million tourists appreciating azalea flowers on Yangming Mountain;
- The "gold medal tour guide" competition and a selection of cultural tourism recommenders;
- A road trip of Yangwang U8 Club to pass through Yangming Mountain;
- 7th Cross-Strait Yangming Mountain Weiqi Invitational;
- 2024 Hunan Ecological Tourism Festival and the 4th Yangming Mountain Wanhe Lake Tent Camping Season; and,
- 2024 South China Ice-Snow Tourism Season.
