A promotion and exchange conference for Hunan-Germany economic and trade cooperation was held at the Hannover Messe Exhibition Hall on April 22 local time. Nearly 100 representatives from German and Hunan's government departments, commercial associations, research institutions, and enterprises attended.

Hannover Messe 2024, Germany's leading industrial trade fair, kicked off on that day.

The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Hunan Sub-council led 24 enterprises from Changsha, Zhuzhou, Xiangtan, Yiyang, Yongzhou, and Loudi cities to participate in Hannover Messe 2024. These enterprises mainly covered four sectors—new energy, intelligent manufacturing, electromechanical equipment, and industrial components and parts. They display their products at a 396-sqm exhibition area, including 200 sqm of special booths.

Deng Luoxing, vice chairman of the CCPIT Hunan Sub-council, briefed the attendees about Hunan's overall conditions, and specifically introduced Hunan's economic development and industrial advantages. Changsha and Loudi cities' superior industries were presented at the conference.

Germany has been China's largest trading partner in Europe Union for 49 consecutive years, since the two countries established diplomatic relations 52 years ago. The interests of the two countries have been deeply entwined, ensuring great potential for bilateral cooperation, said Liang Meixia, economic and commercial counselor of the Consulate-general of China in Hamburg.

The CCPIT Hunan Sub-council and Beiten Burkhardt of Germany inked a memorandum of cooperation, agreeing to provide convenient and efficient legal services for both Germany and Hunan enterprises in their economic and trade cooperation.
