Farmers Busy with Rice Seedling Transplanting as Guyu Begins

Spring ploughing and field management have entered critical period as Guyu approaches. Farmers are actively engaged in spring ploughing and preparations for farming activities and refine field management, aiming to lay a solid foundation for stable grain production throughout the year. Guyu, or Grain Rain, falls on April 19 this year. It is the sixth of the 24 traditional Chinese solar terms. It signifies the onset of the rainy season, a favorable time for planting and the growth of crops.
