The Billie Jean King Cup 2024 tennis tournament Asia-Oceania Group I match kicked off at the Moon Island Red Clay Court Tennis Park in Changsha on the morning of April 9. Bai Xilin, secretary of the CPC Committee of the Tennis Administrative Center of the General Administration of Sport of China, announced the opening of the event. The five-day match features six teams - China, Chinese Taipei, India, the Republic of Korea, New Zealand, and Pacific Oceania. The Chinese team members consisted of Zheng Qinwen, Wang Xinyu, Wang Xiyu, Zhu Lin, and Guo Hanyu. In the first-round match between China and Chinese Taipei on April 9, Wang Xinyu and Zheng Qinwen served as the first and second players for the women's singles match, both defeating their opponents 2-0, while Zhu Lin/Guo Hanyu lost in the women's doubles. Finally, the Chinese team got off to a good start with a 2-1 victory over the Chinese Taipei team.
