The Hunan provincial Party and government delegation took a study and inspection tour to Hainan Province between April 6 and 8, 2024. On the morning of April 8, a Hainan-Hunan cooperation, development, and exchange symposium was held in Haikou City, to strengthen communication and collaboration between the two provinces. 

Feng Fei, secretary of the CPC Hainan Provincial Committee, presided over the meeting and delivered a speech. Shen Xiaoming, his counterpart in Hunan Province, attended and made a speech.

Liu Xiaoming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hainan Provincial Committee and Hainan governor, and Mao Weiming, his counterpart in Hunan Province, respectively introduced the economic and social development of the two provinces. They signed the "Hunan Provincial People's Government-Hainan Provincial People's Government Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement" on behalf of the two sides.

Li Rongcan, chairman of the CPPCC Hainan Provincial Committee; Mao Wanchun, his counterpart in Hunan Province; Shen Danyang, deputy secretary of the CPC Hainan Provincial Committee and secretary of the Commission for Political and Legal Affairs of the CPC Hainan Provincial Committee; and, Li Dianxun, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, were present.

On April 8, the Hainan-Hunan cooperation, development, and exchange symposium was held in Haikou.

On April 6, the Hunan Party and government delegation visited the Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City.

On April 6, Hunan delegation inspected the Lingshui Li'an International Education Innovation Pilot Zone.

On April 6, the delegation came to the Sanya International Duty-Free City for inspection.

On April 7, the delegation paid a visit to the Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone.

On April 7, the delegation visited the Window of the World Tropical Fruits.

On April 7, the delegation inspected the Fengjiawan Modern Fishery Industrial Park.

On April 7, the delegation inspected the Haikou Bay Unclogging Project.

On April 8, the delegation visited the Haikou Comprehensive Hub.

On April 8, the delegation inspected the Jiangdong New Area in Haikou.

On April 8, the delegation visited the One-stop Aircraft Maintenance Industrial Base in Hainan Free Trade Port.

Hainan provincial leaders Zhou Hongbo, Luo Zengbin, Bater, Ni Qiang, Li Jun, Xie Jing, Chen Huaiyu, Cai Zhaohui, and Gu Gang, and Hunan provincial leaders Wu Guiying, Xie Weijiang, Qin Guowen, Wu Lan, Cao Zhiqiang, and Guo Zhenggui, participated in relevant activities.
