Governor Mao Meets with Guests from the Boao Forum for Asia

Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of the People's Government of Hunan Province, met in Changsha with Carlos Gutierrez, board member of the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) and former US Secretary of Commerce, and his entourage on the morning of March 30, 2024.

Governor Mao briefed the guests on the economic and social development of Hunan Province. He noted that thriving Hunan is actively embracing the world with openness and self-confidence, hoping that both sides can work together to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state. We may further strengthen the high-level exchange of visits, economic and trade cooperation, and cultural and tourism exchanges, to achieve mutual benefits and win-win results, he added.


Mr. Gutierrez indicated that the US-China collaboration is beneficial to both countries. He hopes to make positive contributions to enhancing mutual communication in various fields, creating a promising future through partnership.
