The CCID Consulting's Urban Economic Research Center recently
released the 2024 list of top 100 districts in terms of innovation.
Seven districts in Hunan Province made the list.
All of Changsha's six urban districts are on the list, namely Yuhua
District (10th), Yuelu District (28th), Tianxin District (47th), Kaifu
District (76th), Furong District (79th), and Wangcheng District (92nd).
Xiangtan's Yuhu District was shortlisted for the second time, ranking 94th.
The candidate districts were evaluated based on an innovation evaluation
system, focusing on their innovation capacity in respect of innovation
environment, services, entities, and effectiveness. The system composed
of four first-level indicators—innovation ecology, innovation impetus,
innovation entities, and innovation results, and 16 second-level
indicators.
With the help of statistical data and CCID Industry Brain, CCID
conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the innovation levels among
county-level cities and municipal districts across the country
(excluding municipalities directly under the central government,
state-level new areas, Hong Kong SAR, Macao SAR, and Taiwan region). The
2024 list was thus generated.
Compared with the previous list, Changsha's Yuhua District leaped from
20th last year to 10th this year, showing the largest rise among all the
shortlisted districts. Tianxin District rose two places. Wangcheng
District made its debut on such list.
