A signing ceremony for the Leyard Central China Headquarters and R&D and Production Base Project was held on March 20. Peng Huasong, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Changsha Municipal Committee and executive vice mayor of Changsha City, and Peng Tao, vice mayor of Changsha City, attended the event and witnessed the signing of the project.
At the signing ceremony, Wangcheng Economic and Technological Development Zone signed a project cooperation agreement with Leyard, a global leading pioneer in audio visual technology and one of China's top 100 electronic information enterprises. Leyard has occupied the largest global market share of LED display products for 7 years in a row. The Leyard Photoelectric Intelligent Manufacturing Park Project settled in Wangcheng in March 2021. It was contracted, constructed, and put into operation that year, hitting a new record for the "Wangcheng speed". As per the agreement, an extra 1 billion yuan is invested in the Leyard Central China Headquarters and R&D and Production Base Project. The project plans to start construction in June this year and go operational next year. Upon full operation, the project is expected to achieve an annual output value of 2 billion yuan.
Executive Vice Mayor Peng Huasong congratulated on the signing of the project on behalf of the CPC Changsha Municipal Committee and the Changsha Municipal People's Government. He noted that in recent years, Changsha has attached great importance to the development of the new-type display industry. A whole industry chain integrating glass panels, epitaxial chips, display screens, and intelligent terminals has basically taken shape. As a result, the industry has a strong momentum of development and broad prospects.
All relevant departments across the city should develop new quality productive forces according to local conditions. In particular, they should do well in offering face-to-face and point-to-point services throughout the whole process and go all out to create a market-oriented, law-based and internationalized first-class business environment, to ensure that the project begins construction, goes operational and achieves results as early as possible. It is expected that Leyard will roll out more projects, allocate more talents, and commercialize more technological achievements in Changsha, and help Changsha hit a "new track" in the field of electronic information and embrace the "new blue ocean" of technology and culture fusion.
