The General Office of the National Development and Reform Commission, the National Working Committee on Children and Women under the State Council, and the General Office of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development jointly issued a notice on the issuance of the third list of national child-friendly cities construction. It was learned from the Development and Reform Commission of Hunan Province on March 12 that Yiyang and Hengyang cities of Hunan Province made the list. There were 39 cities on the list in total.

Changsha and Yueyang cities were included in the previous two lists of building national child-friendly cities. There are now 93 cities included in the three lists, of which four cities are in Hunan Province.
