A China-Europe freight train carrying 100 Foton light trucks worth over 10 million yuan set off from Changsha for Russia recently. This is the 35th China-Europe freight train dedicated to manufacturing that has been operated in Changsha this year.
 
The Central Economic Work Conference has called for efforts to accelerate the cultivation of new drivers of foreign trade and to sustain the sound fundamentals of foreign trade and foreign investment. As an important trade channel connecting Hunan with countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative, the China-Europe (Changsha) freight train service has helped high-quality Hunan-made products go global. The city handled more than 200 China-Europe trains during the January-February period this year, transporting 23,000 TEUs of goods.

The shipping of automobiles by train epitomizes the goal of China-Europe freight trains carrying Hunan goods abroad. According to the statistics of the Logistics and Port Office of the Changsha Municipal People's Government, thanks to the China-Europe (Changsha) freight train service, Hunan-based enterprises recorded an export value of 220 million US dollars from January to February, accounting for 50% of the provincial total export value. Customized trains have been launched for companies such as Zoomlion, Sany, Sunward, Geely, Sinoboom, and Foton.
