First Chinese Member of Berliner Philharmoniker Returns for Concert in Changsha

A symphony concert themed "sentiment of hometown" was staged at the Changsha Concert Hall on the evening of March 10. This concert served as as an opening performance for the 2024 Xiangjiang International Music and Art Season. Mei Diyang, a viola player based in Germany and a native of Changsha, performed with the Changsha Symphony Orchestra at the concert for the first time. Mei Diyang is known as the first Chinese musician to sit as a member of the Berliner Philharmoniker in its 140-year history.
