The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) is coordinating the selection and identification process for the 8th batch of individual champions in the manufacturing industry. A list of 24 enterprises from Hunan Province that passed the review has been made public, the provincial department of industry and information technology said on March 4. Among the 24 Hunan enterprises shortlisted, 6 are from Changsha.

The six Changsha enterprises and their products on the list are:

-A special instrument and system for coal quality detection from Changsha Kaiyuan Instruments Co., Ltd.,

-Waste collection and transfer equipment from Changsha Zoomlion Environmental Industry Co., Ltd.,

-Integrated automation system products for small and medium-sized hydropower stations from HNAC Technology Co., Ltd.,

-Fully hydraulic crawler pile drivers from Sunward Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd.,

-Recycled ternary precursors from Hunan Brunp Recycling Technology Co., Ltd., and,

-High-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) from Hunan Mingkang Zhongjin Medical Technology Co., Ltd. 

An individual champion enterprise in the manufacturing industry refers to an enterprise that has long focused on specific manufacturing segments, boasts internationally advanced production technology or process level, and ranks among the global top in the market share of a single product (productive service). Its professional development, market competition, independent innovation, operation and management, and other indicators are taken into account.

The MIIT clearly states that local and central enterprises should establish a high-quality enterprise cultivation database, provide nurturing support for enterprises that have been selected as individual champions and those with potential, establish a liaison system, and strengthen targeted services. Support should be given to the transformation of "little giant" firms into individual champion enterprises.
