Hunan NPC Delegation Holds Third Plenary Meeting

The Hunan delegation to the second session of the 14th National People's Congress (NPC) held its third plenary meeting in Beijing on the afternoon of March 4, 2024, to deliberate the government work report.

Shi Taifeng, a member of the Political Bureau and minister of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee; He Wei, vice chairman of the NPC Standing Committee and chairman of the Central Committee of the Chinese Peasants and Workers Democratic Party; and, Zhang Qingwei, vice chairman of the NPC Standing Committee, participated in the deliberation.

Shen Xiaoming, head of the Hunan delegation, presided over the meeting. Deputy Heads Mao Weiming, Li Dianxun, Wang Shuangquan, and Wu Lan attended. Deputies present at the meeting also included Du Jiahao, Xu Dazhe, Hu Xusheng, Yang Weigang, Jiang Difei, Zhou Haibing, Zhu Yu, Li Jiancheng, and Liu Lianyu.

According to the arrangements of the national annual "Two Sessions", Xiao Yuanqi, vice minister of the National Financial Regulatory Administration, joined the meeting to attentively hear diverse perspectives. Relevant comrades from departments of the NPC Standing Committee, the General Office of the State Council, the National Development and Reform Commission, and the Ministry of Finance were present.


During the deliberation, Ning Fenfang, Cheng Bei, Chen Jing, Wan Buyan, Chen Hua, Liu Wenjie, Li Jianyu, Huang Le, Zhou Changyou and other deputies put forward opinions and suggestions on developing new quality productive forces, ensuring food security, deepening the reform of state-owned enterprises, expanding effective investment, guarding against and resolving local government debt risks, strengthening cultural empowerment for rural revitalization, and promoting high-quality development of ethnic areas.
