Dragon and Lion Dances Staged to Celebrate Spring Festival

On the evening of February 19, a team staged traditional dragon dance at the Malanshan Yazui Park, Kaifu District, Changsha. The 2024 Fourth Traditional Chinese Dragon and Lion Dance International Competition and the Traditional Chinese Sports International Championship kicked off on the same day. The contests are organized by the Changsha Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Radio, and Television and the People's Government of Kaifu District. There were more than ten elite dragon and lion dance teams from Beijing, Chengdu, Xuzhou, Changsha, and other places registered to participate. They competed in two categories of traditional dragon dance and southern lion dance on high piles, presenting a traditional Chinese culture visual feast to the audience.
