Changsha Launches Cultural Tourism Promotion Activities in Japan, South Korea

A delegation from Changsha embarks on an eight-day trip to Japan and South Korea starting from February 19, and they will carry out a series of events such as cultural tourism promotion activities and Spring Festival celebrations there, in a bid to expand the city's inbound tourism market in the two countries. This was learned from the Changsha Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Radio and Television on February 18, the first working day after the Spring Festival holiday. 



Currently Changsha is striving to build an international cultural and creative center and an international tourism center, and the cultural tourism industry is an integral part of these efforts. This trip to Japan and South Korea is of great significance for Changsha's cultural tourism to enhance its international influence and popularity.

For this trip, the Changsha delegation has prepared wonderful performances with unique local characteristics, such as classic dance, folk music, and flower-drum opera. There will also be performances and displays of intangible cultural heritage skills such as Hunan embroidery, Tongguan Kiln ceramics, peach nut carving, and seal cutting. Interesting quizzes and lucky draws will be held to present a wealth of prizes with Changsha characteristics.

Meanwhile, the Changsha delegation will host a cultural and tourism photography exhibition themed on "landscape, history, internet popularity, and happiness", aiming to showcase the image of Changsha as a historical and cultural city and a world-renowned tourist destination from a comprehensive perspective.

During the trip, the Changsha delegation will participate in the "Happy Spring Festival" brand activities launched by China's Ministry of Culture and Tourism in Japan. They will visit the China Tourism Office in Osaka, key cultural tourism enterprises in Osaka, the Korea Tourism Organization, the Korea Association of Travel Agents, and key cultural tourism enterprises in South Korea, learn and exchange advanced experience, and integrate cultural tourism resources and products from Changsha with those from Japan and South Korea, to help Changsha build itself into an international cultural and creative center, an international tourism center and a world famous cultural and tourism city.
