A Kunming-Huaihua-Nanjing air route was officially launched on February 2, as the KY3175 flight of the Kunming Airlines landed at the Huaihua Zhijiang Airport on that afternoon.

A Boeing 737-800 aircraft serves the route, operated by the Kunming Airlines on every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. Flight KY3175 takes off from the Kunming Changshui Airport at 13:00, and lands at the Huaihua Zhijiang Airport at 14:20, and then sets off at 15:05, and arrives at the Nanjing Lukou Airport at 16:50.

The return flight KY3176 leaves Nanjing at 17:50 and arrives in Huaihua at 20:20, and then sets off from Huaihua at 21:10 and lands at Kunming airport at 22:50.

So far, the Huaihua Zhijiang Airport has opened eight air routes linking 12 domestic cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Xi'an, Sanya, Lijiang, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Kunming, Haikou, Shenzhen, Taiyuan, and Guangzhou.
