As the Spring Festival approaches, Yiyang's foreign trade enterprises are going full throttle to prepare for the export of New Year's goods. On February 3rd, after passing the inspection and quarantine under the Yiyang Customs Authority, the Hunan Zhongrenwang Breeding Pig Technology Co., Ltd. exported one batch of 105 live pigs valued at 264,000 yuan to China's Macao. At present, the Yiyang Customs Authority has implemented 4 quarantine supervisions and loading inspections for 420 live pigs.

"As the Spring Festival is coming soon, the market demand has increased suddenly. Yiyang has ushered in the peak supply period for live pigs going to Macao. With the support of the customs authority, we have formulated a detailed plan to ensure a safe and stable supply of meat during the Spring Festival," said Li Taofeng, head of Hunan Zhongrenwang Breeding Pig Technology Co., Ltd.

Every year, export enterprises including the Guolian (Yiyang) Food Co., Ltd., Shunxiang Food Co., Ltd., and Yifeng Food Co., Ltd., under the administration of the Yiyang Customs Authority, ramp up production ahead of the Spring Festival to meet the export demands in overseas Chinese markets.

In the Hunan Taifu Tea Industry Co., Ltd., workers are seen busily packing tea leaves for shipment. "Thanks to the on-site guidance of the customs authority, Yiyang tea and tea customs have gained popularity globally," said Xiao Lei, a company representative, adding that since this January, a total of 428 tons of tea leaves valued at 7.816 million yuan have been exported to more than 10 countries including Russia and Ukraine.

In order to facilitate the export of Yiyang's New Year's goods, the Yiyang Customs Authority has taken the initiative to connect with export enterprises to ensure supply during the Spring Festival. The authority has carried out policy publicity and quality control, guiding enterprises in self-inspection and control of exported products, and improving product quality and market competitiveness. It has also opened up a "green channel" for the export of New Year's goods, improving its appointment–based customs clearance mechanism, and ensuring "zero delay" in customs clearance of New Year's goods.

According to an inspector in the Yiyang Customs Authority, in order to ensure the efficient and smooth supply of New Year's goods, the authority has kept up with enterprises' demands, implementing service measures such as appointment inspection, door-to-door inspection, and prompt inspection, and working extra shifts to help enterprises secure orders, expand their markets, and keep channels smooth.

According to the data of the Yiyang Customs Authority, in 2023, the export of agricultural and food products in Yiyang City grew against the trend, with an export value of 300 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.3%.
