The National Community Spring Festival Gala 2024 was held in Yueyang City, Hunan Province on the evening of January 28.

It was jointly organized by the China Community Development Association, the China Agricultural Film and Television Center, the CPC Yueyang Municipal Committee, and the People's Government of Yueyang City. The gala was themed "the People Are the Country", with the keynote of people hosting, staging, and evaluating performances. It aimed to bring cultural benefits to the public in the communities, showcasing the achievements of grassroots governance and community building in the new era.

The gala welcomed participants from all walks of life, without any restraints or age limits. It had carried out 685 special auditions nationwide, attracting more than 3,100 units, who reported over 13,500 programs. The event has been publicized to a massive audience of 200 million-odd people.

As the venue of this Spring Festival gala, Yueyang is known as the "Northward Gateway of Hunan". It is an ancient city with a long history of more than 2,500 years. The city owns more than 60% of the Dongting Lake area, embraces 163 kilometers of the Yangtze River banks, has 3.67 million mu (244,667 ha.) of wetlands, and boasts famous mountains, waters, pavilion, and celebrities.
