The Second Session of the 14th Hunan Provincial People's Congress, after completing all the items on the agenda, concluded in Changsha on the morning of January 28, 2024.

On January 28, the Second Session of the 14th Hunan Provincial People's Congress lowered its curtain.

There should have been 763 deputies at the meeting, and there were 736 deputies present. The number of attendants constitutes the quorum.

Shen Xiaoming was elected as the director of the Standing Committee of the 14th Hunan Provincial People's Congress through a secret ballot.

A swearing-in ceremony was held at the meeting. Shen Xiaoming, the newly-elected director of the Standing Committee of the 14th Hunan Provincial People's Congress, took an oath of allegiance to the Constitution under the witness of all the participants.

Ouyang Yang was elected as a member of the Standing Committee of the 14th Hunan Provincial People's Congress.

The following resolutions and decision made by the Second Session of the 14th Hunan Provincial People's Congress were approved:

1. Resolution on the government work report;

2. Resolution on the 2023 Hunan provincial economic and social development plan implementation and the 2024 plan;

3. Resolution on the 2023 Hunan provincial budget implementation and the 2024 budget plan;

4. Resolution on the work report of the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial People's Congress;

5. Resolution on the work report of the Higher People's Court of Hunan Province;

6. Resolution on the work report of the People's Procuratorate of Hunan Province; and,

7. Decision on amending the "Hunan Provincial Local Legislation Regulations".

Shen Xiaoming, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and director of the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial People's Congress, delivered a speech.

The meeting concluded with the rendition of the Chinese national anthem.
