The 2024 Black Pearl Restaurant Guide was released in Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province on January 25. A total of 341 restaurants from 30 cities around the world were shortlisted. The guide was launched simultaneously on China's on-demand service platform Meituan and the food-rating platform Dazhong Dianping. Four restaurants from Changsha were rated as one-diamond restaurants in the guide this year.

The four Changsha restaurants are: Blue Kylin Restaurant (Yunda Mode Branch), Moquan Fengwei Restaurant (Runhe International Square Branch), Qingxi Manor Restaurant (Xingsha Branch), and Xin Chang Fu Restaurant (Shijia Branch), respectively. Among them, the Blue Kylin Restaurant (Yunda Mode Branch), a newcomer to the guide, is an upgraded brand of Xu Ji Seafood. The other three restaurants are the first batch of Changsha restaurants nominated in the guide. This is the second consecutive year for them to receive the one-diamond rating.

The Black Pearl Restaurant Guide is a food guide that has been released since 2018 and is dubbed as China's own "Michelin Guide". The nominated restaurants are evaluated anonymously by experts every year from three perspectives: culinary skills, experience, and inheritance & innovation.
