Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of the People's Government of Hunan Province, visited Changde City on January 5, 2024. He came to inspect enterprises development and safety production in the industrial zones.

Governor Mao asked to implement the spirit of the Central Economic Work Conference and the arrangements made at the Fifth Plenary Session of the 12th CPC Hunan Provincial Committee. He called for focusing on economic growth and giving priority to the high-quality development; both pursuing high-quality development and safeguarding high-level security; and, striving to achieve "a good and stable start" in the first quarter of the new year.

Enterprises in various industrial parks have intensified their production efforts since the beginning of the new year, sparing no effort to achieve a good start. Governor Mao and his entourage visited the Changde High-Tech Industrial Development Zone and the Changde Economic and Technological Development Zone, to learn about production conditions of workshops.

On January 5, Governor Mao inspected the Zoomlion Agricultural Machinery Co., Ltd. at the Changde High-Tech Industrial Development Zone.

Governor Mao visited the Hunan Dongting Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. at the Changde Economic and Technological Development Zone.

Governor Mao checked workplace safety of the Hunan Xiangtou Goldsky Titanium Metal Co., Ltd.

Governor Mao inspected the Changde Cigarette Factory of China Tobacco Hunan Industrial Corporation.

During his inspection tour, Governor Mao emphasized that efforts should be made to construct major projects, speed up the pace of industrial restructuring, and maintain vigilance regarding production safety.
