On December 19, the Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism announced the lists of eight new provincial tourist resorts and ten new provincial tourism and leisure blocks.

The eight new provincial tourist resorts include:
- Taohua River Meirenwo Tourist Resort, Yiyang City;
- Zhijiang Heping Lake Tourist Resort, Huaihua City;
- Longhui Dahuayao Tourist Resort, Shaoyang City;
- Tianzi Lake Tourist Resort, Shaoyang City;
- Huayanxi Tourist Resort, Changde City;
- Bancang Tourist Resort, Changsha City;
- Shuifu Tourist Resort, Xiangtan City; and,
- Tongdao Dong Village Tourist Resort, Huaihua City.

The ten new provincial tourism and leisure blocks include:
- Baiguoyuan Tourism and Leisure Block, Changsha City;
- Hongjiang District Misty Rain Hongjiang Block, Huaihua City;
- Biancheng Tourism and Leisure Block, Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture;
- Miluo Changle Tourism and Leisure Block, Shaoyang City;
- 72 Unusual Houses Block, Zhangjiajie City;
- Fengcheping Cultural Tourism Block, Xiangtan City;
- Qiyang Chinese Camellia Oil Food Street, Yongzhou City;
- Shunhuangli Tourism and Leisure Block, Shaoyang City;
- Dahan·JoyCentre Tourism and Leisure Block, Zhuzhou City; and,
- Nanhuali Tourism and Leisure Block, Hengyang City.

On the same day, it was announced that Tongguanyao Marcolink Regent Hotel and Xilong Meirengu Hotel were rated as four-star hotels.
