The 2023 China International Rail Transit & Equipment Manufacturing Industry Exposition was held in Zhuzhou between December 7 and 10. It received nearly 300,000 visitors, marking a record high compared with previous sessions, according to the press conference on December 12.
The China International Rail Transit & Equipment Manufacturing Industry Exposition is the only national-level international professional exposition in domestic rail transit industry. Twenty-two key investment projects of rail transit and equipment manufacturing of Hunan Province were released at the expo, with a total investment of 45.8 billion CNY. Meanwhile, 19 projects were contracted with a total contracting value of 20.3 billion CNY. Out of these, 10 projects were contracted on the site.
With a total exhibition area of more than 60,000 square meters, the expo was attended by over 600 enterprises online and offline. Among the 387 enterprise exhibitors participating in the offline exhibition, 179 were from outside of Hunan Province. Beyond that, exhibitors from home and abroad held 155 negotiation meetings via video link, and have started the procurement procedures.
Themed "Smart Rail Links to the Future", this expo welcomed more than 1,800 invited domestic and foreign guests, including delegations from 11 provinces, municipalities, and regions outside of Hunan Province. Both figures hit a record high over the previous sessions.
The expo held the 2023 China-US Rail Transit International Cooperation Round-table Forum and the Europe-oriented Rail Transit Equipment Development Forum. Representatives of 3M, Siemens, Vossloh, and other leading enterprises from the U.S.A, Germany, as well as Hunan Province had in-depth discussions at the forums, creating opportunities for the rail transit enterprises of China, the U.S.A, and Germany to further enhance mutual-benefit cooperation.
This session has achieved a high international standard. It received 74 foreign guests from 18 countries, and 65 enterprises from nine countries and regions such as the U.S.A, Germany, Thailand, and Guinea. The delegation of the U.S.A made its debut as a national-level delegation. A number of world leading enterprises, such as Westinghouse and Corning Incorporated, displayed over a thousand of products. An array of advanced technologies and products were exhibited, such as the 3A composite materials and the ABB traction converter. Some senior managers of the participating enterprises introduced their exhibits on the site.
