Representatives from the Consulate-General of the People's Republic of China in Melbourne, the Food and Fiber Trade Division of the Victoria Government Trade and Investment Office, the Melbourne Branch of the China Chamber of Commerce in Australia, the Hunan Fellowship Association of Victoria State, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Representative Office in Australia, China Southern Airlines, and the Australian Federation of Chinese Associations, as well as international students, Hunan cuisine masters, Hunan cuisine enterprises, Hunan food enterprises, and other guests participated in the event.

The event was organized by Hunan Daily, the Department of Commerce of Hunan Province, the Hunan Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, and the CCPIT Hunan Sub-council, and was undertaken by Hunan Cuisine Newspaper.
