Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of Hunan Province, made an inspection tour in Yueyang on December 5. He stressed the need to keep in mind President Xi Jinping's requirements on protecting the Yangtze River, hold the bottom lines of development and environment, help Hunan hit a fast track towards major project construction, utilize Hunan's strengths in sea transport to facilitate high-quality development, and demonstrate Yueyang's sense of responsibility in accelerating integration into the Yangzte River Economic Belt as a provincial sub-center.
